Steven Severin: in dialisi

In 2000, I was diagnosed with CKD (chronic kidney disease), since then we have been battling to maintain as much of my kidney function as possible but on Tuesday 14th. September we finally lost that battle and I had my first session of dialysis. I am active on the transplant list but for the foreseeable future, I shall be having my blood washed out in 4 hour sessions, three times a week. I have been very poorly but already I am returning to normal. I thought long and hard about whether to “announce” this on social media but on balance I decided it was better to come clean. I’m fine but there will be no shows any time soon. Love on ya x
