Pfarmers (The National + Menomena)

Le due band erano già state compagne di tour. Ora Bryan Devendorf (The National) e Danny Seim (Menomena) danno vita ai Pfarmers. Nella formazione figura anche Dave Nelson (Sufjan Stevens, David Byrne, St. Vincent). Seim racconta: “The record is about a dream I had where I’m reluctantly accepting a fear of drowning by focusing on being reincarnated as a giant gunnera plant, which thrive on the banks of rivers (specifically the Jordan River i.e. the Biblical promised land) after I paint myself gold and sink to the bottom like the El Dorado of South American folklore”. Il disco si chiama ‘Gunnera’ e sarà fuori il 12 maggio via Jurassic Pop. La label lo lancia così: “Our artist has sculpted these functional seed bombs into unique gold-leafed art pieces inspired by the folk art of El Dorado and filled with real Gunnera seeds. Beautiful in your garden or on your mantel”. ‘The Ol’ River Gang‘ il primo brano.
