The Smiths reunion 2020: fake news o realtà?

357

Ogni anno la cronaca ci impone di doverne parlare. Della reunion degli Smiths. E ogni anno ci sono i due protagonisti principali – Morrissey/Marr – che devono per forza di cose smentire. Chiudere categoricamente a ogni possibile spiraglio, a ogni reale offerta economica.

A trusted source has sent the following:

Concert industry insiders, not authorized to speak publicly, say concert giant “Live Nation” has won the rights for the long-awaited Smiths reunion to happen next year. We know what you’re already singing to yourself (“stop me if you think that you’ve heard this one before”), but because dates and venues are already said to be in the “plotting stage,” this would indicate that a Morrissey-Marr reunion is closer than ever to becoming a reality. There’s no word yet on if all four original members will share the concert stage. Morrissey just completed his “California Son” tour. According to his website, Johnny Marr has no upcoming shows scheduled. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned.

Infine, sempre per la precisione su Express.co.uk un mese fa venivano riportate le “quote” che SkyBet dava ai possibili partecipanti al Glastonbury 50: “SkyBet has also placed a few other bands in the running, including Blur and Arctic Monkeys, priced at 7/2 to perform, as well as Mancunian rockers The 1975 who sit at 3/1. Other acts who may take to the Pyramid Stage include Elton John, who has had worldwide success with his movie Rocketman and his upcoming tour dates at The O2, as well as Coldplay, The Kinks, The Smiths and proper rockers, Led Zeppelin”.

In conclusione? Speriamo sia solo la solita bufala.
