La campagna benefica promossa dagli EODM a favore della Sweet Stuff Foundation – con l’invito di coverizzare ‘I Love You All the Time’ – tocca il suo punto massimo con la realizzazione di una compilation che vede protagonisti Florence and The Machine (ft. The Maccabees), Ed Harcourt, Imagine Dragons, Jimmy Eat World, Alain Johannes, Kings of Leon, Mini Mansions, My Morning Jacket, The New Pacific, r00ms, Savages, Sinner Sinners, e Deen Ween Group. Ci sarà anche Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam) con ‘I Want You So Hard’ (live ad opera della band) e ovviamente con ‘I Love You All The Time’. Tutti gli artisti coinvolti (così come Amazon, Apple, Spotify e TuneCore Distribution) devolveranno i proventi alla causa.
Josh Homme: “I made a plea to artists and business people alike to come together to use our solidarity as proof that we are stronger together, and that we can make a difference. We are proud to be a little part of such a big group of talent and good will. We can’t thank these artists enough for their donations of talent, love, time, and compassion. Now, the Play It Forward Campaign is in the hands of the fans to help us make a difference, and to help those affected by this tragedy. Please listen, purchase, play, and enjoy – and know that every time you do, you’re doing the sweet stuff that makes that difference.”
Eagles of Death Metal: “We are humbled by the outpouring of support from so many incredible artists and partners who’ve helped us launch the Play It Forward EODM Campaign this morning. All proceeds from these amazing covers will be donated via @sweetstufffoundation to assist those affected by the Paris attacks. Much love to @florence, @themaccabees, @kingsofleon, @imaginedragons, @edharcourt, @jimmyeatworld, @nialasennahoj, @minimansions, @savagesband, @deanweengroup, @sinnersinners, @thenewpacific, @r00msnoise, @applemusic, @amazon, @spotify, @tunecore, and many, many others involved”.
