Billy Corgan: l'album sperimentale

439

Dalla Martha’s Music/Universal Music alla BMG. Nuovo deal e annuncio di ben due nuovi album previsti per il 2015 a firma Smashing Pumpkins: ‘Monuments To An Elegy’ e ‘Day For Night’. Bene (anzi male). Prima però il vecchio Billy ci tiene a presentare il suo disco sperimentale ‘AEGEA’ di cui si erano perse le tracce dal lontano 2007. “The first two pressings of AEGEA, limited to 250 copies each, are available through MadameZuZus.com. Each copy is hand collated, numbered, and signed by Corgan, with the first 50 records coming pressed on colored vinyl”. E’ poi lui a spiegare il lavoro: “As a work, AEGEA is experimental in nature, and comes across as more a soundtrack to some lost foreign film than the kind of music I’m usually associated with. Listening back I quite like how AEGEA goes along, as it has qualities that are both meditative and alien; but not alienating”. Ascolta
